Served on nitro tap in a pint glass
Appearance – The beer is with a cascade of nitro foam running up through the light yellow-golden color with a thick foamy head after the cascade completes. The foam has a great level of retention, slowly fading over time to leave a light level of streaky lace on the sides of the glass.
Smell – The aroma is light overall with some hints of bread, caramel and a bit of herb. There is a touch of grass and earth in there as well, but overall these are rather minimal.
Taste – The taste begins with a rather bready flavor mixed with a little bit of caramel and a hint of some dank herb and a hint of citrus. The citrus fades all while the dank gets stronger with some more herb and a bit of pine and earth coming to the tongue. In the end one is left with a bready and somewhat dank taste to linger on the tongue.
Mouthfeel – The body of thick and creamy side due to the nitro serving with a nice easy drinking feel. The feel really is not the best of the somewhat more dank flavors and more bready tastes with the creaminess accentuating the sorta non-melding flavors a bit too much.
Overall – I am not really a fan of this one on nitro. With normal carbonation it may be a bit easier drinking and refreshing, but with the nitro it is a bit too much.
