Sampled on tap at brewery.
A: Poured a dark mahogany with a light beige head that was moderately lasting. Visible carbonation was slow and steady.
S: seasonal spices of cinnamon, nutmeg, orange peel, and ginger.
T: The flavor had a light cola nut taste, cinnamon, nutmeg and orange peel coming through. The ginger was also noticeable. I thought I detected some light licorice notes as well. The beer was nicely balanced spice wise with each being easy to detect and stand out and was just enough to make its presence known without dominating or overbearing. I thought there was a really nice warm spicy cola aspect to it, contributed by the cardamom seeds which stood out despite the limited quantity used.
M: oily, slick, with a medium fullness.
D: A nice spicy Christmas in july drink with a well balanced and managed use of spices making for a beer you could easily enjoy in multiples unlike many other overly spiced holiday beers.

thanks to fellow BA ClockworkOrange for picking this up...
A-Copper with a small off white head that quickly faded. Some lacing left around the glass.
S-A plethora of X-mas spices...cinnamon, nutmeg, brown sugar, clove...WOW!
T-All the spices coming thru though a bit muted...and a nice alcohol warmth.
M-Medium body with a nice lingering sweetness on the palate.
D-A lovely holiday offering. While the alcohol is present one would never guess that it is 9%. Nice job Guy.

Much thanks to ClockworkOrange for picking this up...
Appears a transparent orange toned amber with a small, off white head that quickly fades out. Spotty lacing is left around the glass.
Smell is of cinnamon, nutmeg, brown sugar, clove, and roasted nuts.
Mouthfeel is medium bodied, sugary, spicy, finishing with a little zingy sweetness along the tongue.
Thanks, Jason!

Thanks to Clockwork Orange for picking this up for us!
It poured a deep brown copper with an attractive tan head, and filled my nose with spicy sweetness (I think my first words were, "red birch beer!") It has an intense spice combination of ginger, cinnamon, clove and nutmeg in the nose, and reminded me a bit of the seasonal Gingerbread Spice tea from Celestial Seasonings.
While tasting, the ginger lightly burned in the throat. At 9%, this could be dangerously enjoyable.
