Big, foamy, one-finger's worth of a marshmallow-fluff like head. Color was a beautifully straw-yellow with NE-quality clarity. Nose had a great burst of Saaz hops, precisely what I was after. Mouthfeel was medium, with the drying quality on the tongue that a good pils should impart. Finish was dry, refreshing, definitely pilsner. Perfect.

On tap at One Guy on 8/16/08.
A - Clear golden body with one-and-a-half finger of bright white head that retained quite well and left thick, sticky lacing around the glass. Modest amount of carbonation present.
S - Bready malt paired with some light noble hops and a prevalent lemony aroma. There is also a mild white wine/grape character present.
T - Classic Bohemian-style pils flavor profile with mild noble hop bite featuring Saaz hops and a bready/pasta-like maltiness, but also with a strong lemon/citrus rind presence. There's also a bit of spiciness in the finish to complement the hops and malt.
M - Light to medium body with smooth texture, mild carbonation and a pleasant crisp, clean finish that is only slightly dry with a touch of bitterness on the tongue.
D - Very representative of the style, and a great first impression of One Guy. Quaffable, flavorful and pretty darn spot-on. Great job, Guy!

Guy's pick for me between this and the pale ale. Nice pick!
A-Bright golden yellow with a small white head. Pleasant webbed lace.
S-Fresh bready malt with that sharp, crisp herbal quality of Saaz hops.
T-Fresh bready grains supported smartly by the soft spicy Saaz hops. Finishes with a slightly herbal quality.
M-Medium-light body with a crisp, sharp, clean finish.
D-Crsip and clean, true to style and wonderful for a hot summer PA day.

Sampled on tap at brewery.
A: Poured a clear, bright gold with a thin, creamy white capping that was moderately lasting. A small medium-steady stream of carbonation bubbles upwards from the center of the glass.
S: soft with light scents of herbal hopping and fresh pale grains.
T: The flavor had a fresh pale grain backing that was crisp and very clean highlight by a soft spicy saaz hopping. Some light honeymalt scents add sweetness to the palate which finishes with a medium dryness and soft hop fade.
M: smooth, very light with a light carbonation factor.
D: A very easy drinking pils, crisp, clean and true to style. Enjoyed this.
