On tap at One Guy and served in a traditional 500ml hefe glass. Appears a cloudy muted golden yellow color with a solid three fingers of white foam above the 500ml mark. Always a great pour. Smells and tastes of citrus fruits such as lemon, spicy yeast, mild wheat. The lemon is the star with the clove and banana notes usually found in a hefe taking a back seat. To me, this is a good thing. Crisp and creamy with medium to moderate carbonation. Drinkable, enjoyable, and approachable. Rather quenching as well.

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

The beer pours a hazy gold color with a thick frothy white head that slowly fades to lacing. The aroma is decent. It has a crisp and fruity pale and wheat malt scent along with a solid hefe yeast character. There is a mild banana/clove aroma along with bit of citrus as well. The taste is average. It has an easy drinking pale and wheat malt flavor. It's light and quaffable with a touch of citrus and a faint hefe yeast fruitiness. It's not as flavorful as some hefes on the market and the yeast character is weak as well. The mouthfeel is decent. It's a medium/full bodied beer with good carbonation. This is a very drinkable beer, but it's an average hefe thats lacking character.

Apparently an alias for the "Hefeweizen," but it was labeled as Front Street Wheat on the tap and the bottles.

Hazy, golden-orange pour with a moderate fizzy white head that receded to a thin ringlet. Typical wheat profile in the nose, cloves and a touch of banana esters. Bready yeast in the taste, banana and clove, light twinges of citrus. Light body, a bit prickly with carbonation, decently drinkable. A nice wheat beer overall.

 

Had this one on tap today at the brewery.

Appearance: Pours your standard straw blond with orange highlights. The crown is 2 fingers, white, shows good retention and lace.

Smell: Coriander, clove, banana, and wheat....the way a Hefe should smell!

Taste: Same as nose but it doesn't come together as well.

Mouthfeel: A bit messy but decent.

Drinkability: Pretty sessionable but the flavor and mouthfeel hold it back.

this is a nice golden, hazy hefe with a tall white head that fades to lacinng almost immediately. the requisite hefe aroma is almost all there too, the citrus, malt and a tiny bit of spice make a showing, but it's still lacking some of the better fruity esters that I like from the hefe yeast. the taste follows suite with a lot from the citrus corner, and a bit of sweet malt flavor that fades to a dry finish. plenty of carbonation left on this growler, but the mouthfeel is a bit too watery. a good drinkable hefe though.

A-Cloudy orangish-yellow with a medium white head that reduced to a thin film. Nice lacing in the hefe glass.

S-Bready wheat malt meets soft clove and lemon.

T-Sweet wheat malt meets nice spice, light hoppiness and lemon zing. Not much banana in this one.

M-Light body with a soft creaminess and pleasnt citrus zing.

D-Easy going and smooth. This is a nice light sitrus hefe. Guy told me that the yeast he uses acts differently at various fermenting temps...lower you get lemon/citrus, higher you get banana...he opted for lower...and I agree and like his choice.

Sampled on tap at brewery.

A: Poured a cloudy golden-orange with a 1 finger frothy white head that displayed great retention lasting for several minutes before yielding to a thin, creamy layering.

S: The nose had some typical cloves, bananas, and soft wheat scents.

T: The flavor had a sweet and creamy wheat backbone with cloves, bananas and a nice spicy hoppiness. There was some fresh oranges detected as well.

M: light in nature with a soft wheaty creaminess. Some bright oranges and spiciness sneak in.

D: Goes down pretty good. A good session hefe.
