Rereview of last run WEPA:
similar presentation with gold color and fine head;
aroma is near perfect balance of malt and hops with nothing overdone;
taste is similar with clean malt, light toast, some caramel, light citrus and earth, some pine;
mouthfeel is moderate carbonation, lower sweetness, moderate bitternesss;
overall just a classic pale ale that should be available more readily in fresh takes from newer/upcoming breweries....
Poured into a grip shaped goblet: color is transparent gold, head is off white with fine bubbles, head presents 1/2 inch thick and then dissipates to thin top with some great lacing on the glass sides.
Smell is great blend of hops and malt - great classic pale ale maltiness with light toast, grain, hint of caramel; hops are piney, herbal, light spice.
Taste is similar with pleasant malt/hop balance - its a simple, classic take on the style: nice malt base with light caramel and toast, hop bitterness to counter with moderate herbal, spice, grassy, piney and light citrus rind. Simple, classic, drinkable.
Mouthfeel is moderately carbonated, light lingering sweetness, great bitter finish.
Overall a great pale ale - pleasant hop/malt balance, good bitter finish.

A: Bright pumpkin orange when backlighted, with a neat clarity and a strong visible carbonation. A huge foamy head, cream colored holds fairly well with a good coverage of stickage on the glass for lace.
S: The nose is fresh of wet citrus and a strong scent of flowery pine and dry caramel that ends with some slight grassy notes. Moderate in strength.
T: Hoppy with a strong bite of pine. Nice level of dryness from both the malt and the hops, which showed a good level of intensity for a pale. Good backing of specialty grains, sweet dry toasted notes for a backing that has some grassy hop mentions. Sweet upfront but finishes with a big dry hoppy pine bite and a bit of spicy flowery hops of lemon, pine and caramel mixture on the close out.
M: Active carbonation with a medium body that was creamy and frothy on the hold. Dry pine and toasty after-thoughts.
O: Growler worthy pale, very hoppy, yet still easy to consume drinkability wise. Smooth, well rounded flavor, the alcohol but does bring a bit of warmth to the palate for only 4.5%.
