Pours very dark brown with a creamy tan head that hangs around a long time,
Smell has the roastiness but also some soapiness.. The roasty smell takes over as it warms.
Taste is heading towards a stout with the roasted malt taste dominating..
Overall a decent beer that would probably go better on colder night.

Picked this bottle up at the brewery. Been sitting on it for a while now.

Nice caramel and malty nose. Same on the taste of things. Very consistent. Smooth and even, though slightly on the malty sweet side. Smooth and a nice drinker. Could go for several of things. Would probably be good on cask also.

First had: on tap at their brewpub
Also now available in bottles.

Pretty standard stuff here, but still a solid brew. Dark reddish-brown pour, with a tan ringlet for a head. Basic porter profile: roasty, malty nose, which follows through into the taste; roasty grains, dark malts, notes of coffee and sugar. Smooth and easily drinkable, medium body. No surprises, just a good beer.
