Poured into a narrow pint glass: color is straw gold, ever so slight haze, head is bright white with fine bubbles and presents at least 2 fingers thick, dissipating fo a frothy 1/2 finger top and really good side glass lacing.
Smell is very pleasant Pilsner malt, notes of biscuit and toast, raw grain, some mild earthy/grassy/slightly spicy hop aromas as well.
Taste is similar with clean malt flavors, really pleasant Pilsner showcase of biscuit and light toast, hops are pleasantly bitter with earth/grass/herbal notes.
Mouthfeel is crisp with moderate carbonation, low moderate sweetness and moderate bitterness.
Overall an excellent Pilsner in the zwickel style with excellent Pilsner highlights and nice hop notes.

First had: on tap at their brewpub
I'm assuming this is some hybrid of a zwicklebier and a pils. Whatever it was, it was damn tasty, and I'm not big on lighter beers like this typically. Half-pour into a tumbler, cloudy golden yellow color with a nice puffy white head. Aroma was distant, but I picked up simple notes of grains and light hops. Big taste for a light beer: toasted grains, fresh-cut grass, sweet pils malts, and fresh leafy hops. Great balance, and tremendously drinkable. I almost passed on getting this one, but I'm glad I opted for it at the last minute because it ended up being one of my favorites.
