A: Dark ice-tea pour from the growler was a dense garnet red in the vessel. A late forming khaki colored head was thin, frothy, with only a slight covering and hold retention.

S: Fresh honey first comes on the nose, sweet caramelized malt, honey toast, with a bit of fruity yeasty character of apple peel.

T: The flavor followed suit with a sweet toasty caramelized malting, that was laced with some honey and fruitiness from the yeast, apple peel and cherry skins. There is a bit of spicy character that is bright, with touches of cinnamon, sugary figs and crystal malt. There is a nice compliment of chocolate malt while the alcohol also adds some complimentary spicy tones.

M: Malty mouthful, deep, with a strong vibe of carbonation. Syrupy texture, bready, spicy alcohol/fruit warmth.

O: Overall the malt is toasty, sweet with a good deal of depth and substance, truely the highlight as it should with a hint of chocolate. There are hints of spiciness and fruitiness that play well, while the alcohol provides some spicy warmth as well. High rate of drinkability the honey really adds some sweetness and depth to the style and was well played. Definite worthy.
