A: Poured from the growler a princeton orange with a semi-clarity. A light dose of effervesce is spacious and slow to ascend. A bready white colored and textured head is modest in size with an average rate of holding potential while small lace coverage decorates upon the descend.
S: For aroma there is orange grind and a toasted sweetness, followed by a semi-dry piney and grapefruit dry hopping on the trail.
T: For flavor there is a touch of sweet toastedness briefly before an arrival of dry pine and dry hops that move in. Dry grapefruit and dried orange grind shows a good rate of dry bitterness with a decent lingering effect on the swallow. Flowery citrus, good level of dry hop character is supported by the toasted dry speciality backing.
M: Good malt thickness, quite demeanor of carbonation, with a lingering piney-citrus alcohol warmth on the pass. The dry hopping stays with you for a bit.
O: Ive had several ipas from this brewery over the years including thier atomic punk and this by fars tops out the ibu scale in comparison to thier other offerings. Bold, dry, bitter, good malt support with a lingering effect on the tongue makes this one to try. Will definitley gain good support from the few local hop heads, well balanced with a good rate of consumption. This is definitly one of thier hoppiest beers ive sampled. Ive been visting berwick over the last 40 years, and have been an avid craft beer drinker for over 20 of those years, its nice to see this brewery being bold despite a limited market for hard core hop heads. Most of the family and community thrives on the cheap macro experience, nice to see this place not backing down and conforming.
