Copenhagen 30/1 2021. 75 cl corked title from Brdr. D Vinhancel, Rolighedsvej, Frb. C. Simple off-white label with a coat of arms with a crooked lion.
Pours clear dark brown with a red hue. Small off-white head. Settles as thin patch of foam unable to cover the surface of the beer. No lacing to speak of.
Aroma is moderately intense with a sweet malty odor mingling with a light earthy, yeasty scent. Brown sugar, raisins, toasted malts, burnt sugar.
Light carbonation. Slightly thick, oily, almost flat texture.
Flavor is medium intense Wirth a rather strong sweetness followed by a moderate sourness. Aftertaste is sweet with a light streak of alcohol. Finish is sweet and a bit burnt.
Decent French take on a Brune - but a bit one-dimensional in it's sugary charm.

BBE march 08. Nice and lasting beige head and clear darkbrown beer. Nose is quiet sour, caramellic, litle hoppy and shows a bretty twist that comes more unfresh/whee as adding to the brew. Taste is quiet sharp, dry, litle sour, caramel& roasty and well bittered. Imo is the whole brew unbalanced and edgy in sourness and caramel/roast. Drinkable but not my beer.

Dark brown with auburn highlights, quite clear. Rocky head that's a dark cream colour with just a hint of red, good retention and lacing. Malty caramel aroma with a faint roasted quality and light alcohol. Flavour is malty and sweet up front with a mild bitterness. Short, sweet finish in which roasted and alcohol appear, along with a bit of fruit. Medium body, mild carbonation and an overall creamy texture. Quite nice.

Little bubbles and rye taste. Copper brown. A but complex mid-taste with nuts and ripe fig fruit. Although a bit sweet, spices and more balanced. Refreshing brown ale aftertaste.
