Copenhagen 13/3 2020. 75 cl bottle from Brdr. D Vinhandel, Østerbrogade, Kbh. Ø. Drawing of some medieval beer drinkers on the label.
Pours slightly unclear, golden yellow with a medium-sized, persistent white head. Settles as 0,3 cm thick layer of foam covering the surface of the beer. Substantial lacing.
Aroma is very much on the sweet and malty side with a solid touch of alcohol. Sweet pale malts, sugar, hints of sweet banana. Metallic odor of alcohol rummaging in the background.
Medium strong carbonation. Slightly thick, oily, tingling texture.
Flavor has a strong sweetness followed by a moderate bitterness. Aftertaste is sweet. Lingers for a while. Light boozy burn in finish.
Fine sweet and malty Bière de Garde with a subtle bitterness and a decent ABV.

Dec. 2012: 750 ml bottle from Vinoble / Voldby Købmandsgård, shared at local tasting. Pale golden colour, moderate white head. Fairly strong fruity and mildly spicy aroma. Fairly refreshing flavour for its strength, medium sweet, spicy with a hint of honey.

Sampled at Smokeless Joe's, the seemingly only place in the world to have this beer. Tasted from a slightly aged 750ml corked bottle. An enjoyable biere de garde, very on par with other La Choulette products. This one was a ringer of their blonde. Alcohol hidden very well. A good aroma and mouthfeel with delightful flavour. I found it should be enjoyed as a summer beer for some reason? Conclussion: not bad. I can't get your hopes up about it but I wouldn't say anything too bad either.

Golden colour. Sweetish. Well carbonated. Good to share. Works with supper. French yeastiness and active, and peach and apple cider, lending some harshness to finish. Spice, pepper Medium mouthfeel, smooth. worth a try, though pricey and clearly not for everyone.
