LA Beer Week, cask night at Beachwood BBQ.
Pours black to brown with a small white head with fair retention and lacing. Smells primarily of toffee and coconut. Tastes of tobacco, cocoa, coconut, and some warmth on the finish. Has low-medium carbonation with a slick, though surprisingly light body. The taste and smell are quite nice, the feel throws one for a loop, however. In the end, a tasty little surprise, a rich tasting beer that is barrel aged, but also quite easy drinking. Good stuff.
