Our interpretation of the American Brown Ale. It's brewed with six American grains and American hops. Our brown ale has a strong malt backbone.

Draft poured into a pint glass at the brewery. The American Brown Ale pours a dark black color. It produced a thin tanish head. Head retention was only average and it had average lacing. The aroma was very weak, a slight hint of coffee and roasted malt and a bit of hops. The mouthfeel was very light, way to light to make this Brown Ale enjoyable. Carbonation level was below average. The taste of the ale was very much like the aroma, small amounts of roasted malt, coffee, and hops. I had big expectations for Buffalo Brewing and was largely let down by this beer. I won't be drooling over this Buffalo Drool Ale. Buffalo needs to go back to the drawing board on this Brown Ale.

Pours a dark, black color. One and one quarter inch head of a tan color. Great retention and great lacing. Smells of coffee, roasted malt, ginger or all spice, and hops. Fits the style of an American Brown Ale. Mouth feel is smooth, crisp, and sharp with an average carbonation level. Tastes of roasted malt, slight sweet malt, hops, and alcohol. Overall, a rather dark brown that could easily have been classified as a stout.

Beer is light brown and a bit hazy in my glass. Hop aroma is slight and the body light. I think it would be better with more malt. While the beer finishes with a slight hop bite and a hint of chocolate. The body and mouthfeel is a little too light for me. Having said that, its a very easy drinking beer. Almost too easy.
