was served in a snifter. the color was deep copper with light white head.

smell was very floral, light alcohol notes.

the taste was huge. giant hop bitterness from start through the finish. balanced out well from malts. mostly citrus flavors. a wee bit on the sweet side.

medium to low carbonation. very thick with a syrup like texture. quite smooth.

this is a slow sipper that you would want to drink fast, because it is that good. i have been waiting years for someone to brew a double IPA. Dave finally brought us "The Oracle DIPA". this could not be a more perfect DIPA. it is too bad this is not served in bottles. but a growler will do me juuust fiiiine!

Had on tap at the brewpub. Poured into snifter. Popes a deep copper red with very little head. Smell is hoppy up front but also sweet in a way. Taste is citrus like hops upfront followed by a delicious malt backbone. This is one of the most well balanced IIPA's I've had. Light-medium mouthfeel with a dry finish. The drinkability is great. My first beer from Buffalo and I'm very impressed. I'll probably take a growler of this home it's so impressive.

Pours a hazy, dark copper color. 1/2 inch head of an off-white color. Good retention and good lacing. Smells strongly of hops and a good portion of sweet malt. Fits the style of an American Double / Imperial IPA. Mouth feel is smooth and crisp with an average carbonation level. Tastes of hops up front and throughout, then slight alcohol, and a slight sweet malt finish. Wow, overall this beer is an instant warmer and incredibly hoppy. This is a must for an Imperial IPA fan out there. On a side note, this is the only brew that was served in its appropriate glassware instead of a general pint glass - that added to the experience.
