Served this 80 Shilling on tap, in a pint glass, at the brewery. Pours a clear brown color, produced a nice off white head, very good retention and nice lacing left behind on the glass. The aroma of this Scottish ale has a base of sweet malted grain, fresh earth and some caramel. The body of this ale is light, a little on the thin side, with caramel and butterscotch flavor shining through. Overall it is a decent session beer and an average example of the style.
