MARSHALL'S WHARF AYUH AMERICAN PALE ALE 4/30/17
Lost count on my Maine beer reviews but this may be the ninth or lat of the ten originally scheduled (until I realized one was actually a Night Shift from eastern Mass,) Amusing name for this one was not so much the reason for its choice but because it is an American pale ale and was prominintly displayed with other "MW" brews in a store where the employees know their business (Tully's in Wells Maine).
No visible canning date. Poured from the 16 oz. can into an ill-chosen Lawson's 12 oz. stemmed tulip.
a; Clear dark gold with an inch and a half thick slightly offwhite head requiring additional pours into the inadvertently undersized glass. Final pour included dregs which turned the appearance to a cloudy orange. Head receded to uneven surface foam and patchy lacing.
s; Very slight orange pith and later, vegetal notes.
t; Follows the nose with moderate bitterness, especially as it warms. Medium biscuit malt base follows to the dry and bitter finish. Grassy notes develop later.
m; Medium and smooth to oily, very good body and carbonation tingle.
o; A flavorful and satisfying pale which becomes more bitter as it warms. Drink cold.

Enjoyable with a whiskey overtone. Bold.

Pours hazy, gold in color, with one inch head. Taste is pale malt, lemon, and pine. Medium-heavy bodied, slightly bitter with moderate carbonation. Complex for the style and super enjoyable. I will have to try to find this one again.

A: Pours a golden orange color with 2 fingers of head that fades down to a nice cap
S: A good balance between some caramel maltiness and earthy, grassy hops. Light fruitiness in there as well
T: Follows the nose. Starts off with some earthy and grassy hops that impart a moderate bitterness. Maltiness comes through next, giving a light sweetness and balancing the bitter notes. Finishes with lingering earthy notes and lingering bitterness
M: Medium bodied with moderate carbonation
O: A nice and balanced APA that is a bit more on the mild side. Quite easy to drink, though pushing IPA territory with the abv. Solid

16 oz can poured into shaker pint canned on 6/15
A: Light amber body with good clarity small creamy slightly off white head.
S: buttery, grass, light bready malts, a little herbal
T: light grass, buttery taste with slight hints of citrus but mainly herbal notes light bit of bitterness
M: medium body with lighter carbonation and a slight slickness to it.
O: Its not a bad beer but noting to write home about. Tastes a lot like their other hoppy offerings and a whole lot like Acehole.
