A: The appearance is a a deep golden color. Now Usually doppelbocks are a deep mahogany or dark brown. However Marshall Warf experimented with different malts to create a lighter variation. Because they were honest about it's appearance, I will give this category a good rating.
S: The smell is definitely what you would expect from the doppelbock style. Baked bread with a strong malt aroma.
T: Amazing. Despite it's blonde color, the taste of this beer is very rich. You can taste the malts as well as a bit of toffee. There is almost no hop presence as this beer's flavor relies primarily on it's malts. I would say the taste is very true to the style.
M: Slight alcohol warming. The body of this beer is very heavy and rich. This is a cold weather brew but it still can be enjoyed in the transitional seasons as well.
O: Very impressed with this one. This is a solid interpretation on this style. It was a bit experimental but it came out great. I highly recommend getting a pint before it kicks. Final rating
