Not retired, had it on tap a Novare Res on 12/17/12 in Portland Me. This was a delicious heavy ale, perfect on the cold snowy night. Heavy coffee chocolate molasses bouquet...if that's why you call it for beer. Taste was warming and malty, I think they billed it as 10% abv

Poured on-tap and served in a pint glass, the beer is jet black, with no head. Slight cling, but a little watery at the same time. Aromas are rich and sweet, with chocolate, maple, and molasses characteristics. Flavors are a smooth blend of dark, old world fruit, with coffee highlights, molasses, and chocolate profiles. The aftertaste is slightly boozey, with molasses and rum-like flavors. Pretty tasty. Rich, with a slightly cloying finish and a smooth and sweet linger. Very rich, and this blend makes an interesting beer.

Had on tap at Marshall Wharf takeover of Novare Res. This was a blend of the Sexy Chaos, Chaos Chaos, and T2-R9 Barleywine if I remember correctly.

Light fizzy head, pitch black color beer.

Nose of sweet malts both light and dark, roast crystal, caramel, light barleywine malts, stouty darkness, some bitterness

Taste is delicious, light bourbon, light oak, creamy barleywine, semi sweet, light creamy dark roast, light minerality, light toffee, bit of chewy oats, sticky malts, light syrupy finish.

Mouth is heavier bodied with decent carb, smooth.

Drink its decent, light booze, light sticky, minerality
