Brewed in collaboration with our favorite Fox Island musical trio The Toughcats, this single hop Palisade IPA is a smooth operator. Originally created for the 2011 Belfast Harborfest, popularity deemed another batch be made. Light and way too easy to drink, the apricot and peach attributes of the hop shine through in this delicious beer.

Cloudy, deep amber color. Great blanketing lace from the lasting but small head.
Nice blend of pale malt and floral hop. Attractive and inviting.
Toasty, biscuity malt start but the bittering hop comes straight forward with a black pepper taste. Appropriate body and carbonation. Pretty straight forward.

From a 16oz can, labeled as an Imperial Pale Ale though with a slightly higher ABV at 7.2%
Pours aa golden amber color with a good sized head, fades at a slow rate and leaves a lasting foamy cap on top for a good long while.
Smell is fairly mild in strength, caramel malt mixed with a dank hop aroma, if the aromas were only stronger in presence instead of having to search hard it would be a higher score.
Taste starts out with a caramel malt sweetness, not overly sweet as the hop balance comes into play, not very bitter or piney, enough to be satisfying but not enough to really be distinguished as an IPA or DIPA, carbonation is velvety soft and lends a creamy body.

canned 8/24 third time having it
A: not much head but soft pourer I am pretty much standard light copper you'd expect from an APA but an Imperial Pale...
S: smells like a lager at this point a lot of bread with not much hops
T: pure malt with barely a hop taste I thought when I had it before it had some hop taste it's gone now taste like a regular lager just with some slight hop bitterness just ready and one dimensional
M: pretty standard not heavy but not cloying either
O: Fairly disappointed just an average beer that had some hop taste that disappeared quickly with barely any age now it's like drinking a straight lager

A: Pours a golden amber color with 2+ fingers of creamy head that takes a while to fade down to a cap. Leaves some great lacing all the way down the glass
S: Some light earthy, floral, and fruity hops stick out amongst some deep caramel malts and breadiness. Not over the top, but refreshing
T: Follows the nose. Starts off with the lightly sweet malts and earthy and light citrusy tones of the palisades. Some floral notes come along with the breadiness. Finishes with a touch of sweetness and very low bitterness
M: Medium bodied with moderate carbonation
O: Because of the low(er) bittering abilities of the palisade hops (this is a single hop IPA), this one is more on the refreshing side of IPAs rather than tongue-numbing side of others. If you like earthy and floral IPAs with lower-end bittering, this one will definitely suit your style
