Tap at the pub.
Light fluffy thick head nice lacing mostly clear amber orange.
Nose big sweet candy, malts galore, little booze, rock candy, wheat with light esters fruity.
Taste sweet, boozy, esters, candy malts, caramel and toffee, syrup, some wheat. Little toasty reddish malt, fluffy, little fruity. Then fairly bitter spicy chewy hops. Finish is still semi sweet and boozy, bitter spicy hops, candy.
Mouth is med to fuller bod, decent carb, quite boozy.
Overall fairly nice but not enough wheat and too much on the spicy hops.

Enjoyed on the outdoor eating area at Marshall Wharf.
A - Poured into a standard PINT glass a clear copper hue with a one finger head that faded to leave nice sticky lacing.
S - Aromas of strong wheat ans hops with some light yeast notes.
T - Taste is a bit too assertive for my tastes. Heavy handed on the wheat and really hoppy. Doesn't really work for me.
M - Mouthfeel is rather boozy.
O - Overall I was semi unimpressed with this one. Sightly unbalanced.

Poured on-tap and served in a snifter, the beer is a clear, vibrant, copper-brown coloring with no head. Aromas of booze, toffee, and a slight roasting. Flavors are smooth and smokey, with a slight crisp and charred end flavor. Much more smooth and rich than one would expect. A slight bitterness at the end of the palate, where the booze and sweetness come to an abrupt finish. The aftertaste is slightly boozey, grainy, and semisweet. The finish is smooth, slightly oily, and clean. Very solid, drinkable beer for a slightly elevated ABV.
