Cask pour of 8 oz into a goblet, the beer is a bright, caramel coloring that is clear and bubbly, with a frothy, white, light head that clings to the glass. Nose of char and oak, with sweet and boozey highlights underneath. Flavors of oak chips and smoke, with a solid scotch backbone. Much lighter and smoother with the barrel aging. Smooth, smoked and boozey aftertaste, with a smooth, clean finish. Very well made beer, and very nicely altered by the barrel aging process. This one goes down easy despite the rich, heavy flavors. Very tasty.
