Cask pour of 8 oz in a goblet, the beer is a dark, ruby-highlighted brown coloring with a light tan, dense, bubbled head. Nose of rich, sweet backbone, with a dry, sweet, fruity highlight imparted from the barrel. Flavors of rich, old world fruit maltiness and molasses form a short-lived backbone that is quickly wiped out by the dry, fruity sherry characteristics. The aftertaste is almost non-existent secondary to the sherry characteristics. Tangy and dry wine character leads to a clean, slick finish. Different, and very good.
