Jetty Ale is GSB's rendition of the perfect craft beer. Brewed year round this beer is light in body but not in flavor. Reminiscent of an American style lager yet brewed in a non-traditional cream ale fashion, Jetty is an unique blend of choice pilsner malt, noble German hops, flaked corn and orange blossom honey. This blend gives it a whole new dimension leading to its richly smooth character. So grab yourself a Gold Medal Jetty and savor its greatness!

Day 16 on the Beer advent Calendar.
A little light and not enough honey coming through, which might explain how my can advertised that less than the one in the photo. You had to read the small protein to tell any was supposed to be in it. Pretty average ale.

I definitely thought I had reviewed this before but somehow I missed it. As an island expatriate, this is an easy call when returning home each year. Long Island's beer scene has really evolved recently and it is good to have the variety but Great South Bay is one of the older stalwarts. This beer is balanced with crystal malts and just enough hops. A bit sweet in the finish but satisfying and real easy to put away in the summer.

Nothing extraordinarily but good beer - definitely get some creamy goodness, mild vanilla, cappuccino foam, just an unassuming easy drinker with no off notes

Poured from a 12oz can into a can style glass.
Look is a clear light yellow with a billowy head.
Aroma is clean and bright like a cracker.
Taste is well balanced and light. Delicious.

A: The beer is clear light yellow in color and has a light to moderate amount of visible carbonation. It poured with a two finger high bright white head that died down, leaving a narrow collar around the edge and lots of lacy rings of bubbles around the sides of the glass.
S: Light to moderate aromas of green grapes are present in the nose along with some hints of orange blossoms, the latter of which only becomes noticeable as the beer warms up.
T: The taste follows the smell and is mostly dominated with flavors of green grapes with hints of notes of orange blossoms and faint hints of corn. There is neither sweetness nor bitterness.
M: It feels a bit more than light-bodied on the palate and has a moderate amount of carbonation. There is a little smoothness to the mouthfeel.
O: This beer is rather unique for a cream ale and has some aromas and flavors that resemble a Kölsch. It is quite sessionable and goes down rather easily.

Feb'18. From can at Home. Taste tested a few Great So. brews at Whole Foods & this one spoke to me. Very impressive beer. No gimmicks, just a straight ahead refreshing & satisfying beer. The kind you end up gulping down. Thank goodness it's 5.5 ABV allows for that. As has been mentioned previously, this is just the thing to offer someone that still stuck on Bud. I'll have to reorganize the fridge to make some permanent space for this come summer.

Pours straw color. Short, bubbly, white head fades fast.
Smells corn, grain, malt and light grassiness.
Tastes grain, light bready malt with slight sweetness.. Followed by light grassy and floral. Finish is semi dry with grassy and grainy linger. Lighter medium body and creamy lower carbonation.

12 oz can
Pours very light, with a brownish hue and clear, moderate fine bubble head and minimal lacing left behind. Meh
Honey, corn and vanilla on the nose
More of the same on the palate..kind of a offputting artificial note and alot of honey...
Def. not my favorite offering from GSBB
