A dark copper/amber color on the pour with a fluffy white head of foam and foggy clarity. Sweet malts on the nose. Lots of sweet malts upfront on the initial few sips. Rather malty on the flow and finish. The sweetness starts to build the more that I consume. Some off-flavors as well with a sort of dirty malt tone. A light/moderate mouth feel that drinks between sweet and dry but still a bit heavier than many in the style. Notes of bready grains, grasses, oats, and honey.
Overall, a bit of a malty mess that seems to really drink more in favor of a basic Vienna lager.
