It's a dark brown like most stouts are. However, the taste and body are considerably light. The roasted malt is there, but it's much lighter than I'd care for.

Pours a deep brown color with a toasted khaki head that left a small wall of lacing as it settled.
Nice dark chocolate aroma with hints of caramel and roast. Brownie batter.
More of a roast profile in the taste. Some char and bitter bakers chocolate. Brown bread notes as well.
Moderate feel with tingly carbonation. Not as full and creamy for the style; a bit thin. Roasted bitterness in the finish.
I guess this beer lived up to its name as it definitely has a strong roast presence. The body of the beer is lacking but overall good beer.

So I found this in the back of my parents' fridge while home for the holiday. I suppose my brother bought it and forgot about it. Coffee and molasses in the nose. Not much head or lace Real nice roasted note and kind of light bodied for a stout. Clean finish. Enjoyable little stout.

Pours black color with a foamy tan colored head that faded slowly and left minimal spotty lacing. Smells like smoked grains, a touch of charred wood, minerals, biscuit and cocoa powder. A very mild nose overall.
Tastes chocolatey up front, followed by smoked malts, roasted grains, charred wood, piney hops, cocoa powder, burnt coffee grinds, herbs, dark chocolate, grass and faint vanilla. A little thin and watery feel, but it was tasty and enjoyable.
