Deep brown where light passes along the edge. Modest head that settles down to rim bubbles. The beige head settles quickly to rim bubbles. Minimal lacing in the form of small, infrequent streaks.
Darker chocolate with a strong whiff of graham cracker. Semisweet.
The beer is notably thin, but the lower carbonation helps. It reminds me of a lowly fizzy seltzer water. The flavor, though, is rich. The profile begins with a darker semisweet to Baker's chocolate taste. There's some hop bitterness in the swallow but not enough to dominate. The graham cracker notes remain throughout the tasting. Overall, a good American version of the porter.
