This pumpkin ale pours a dark orange with an off-white head. The nose is malty, with pumpkin spice but reminds me more of a pie crust. The taste is similar, it's pumpkin pie, but focuses away from the pumpkin itself. I did get what tastes like a little hippy bitterness towards the end. The mouthfeel is a bit sticky, but does clean up as the sip ends.
