Mid sized bottle purchased at the brewery 2 days ago.
The pour is clouded, dull, light tangarine. Off white head is gone too fast and leaving just a thin collar and minimal film. Any lace quickly slides down and is gone.
Some lemon and dull cilantro in the sniff.
More lemon on the palate, some wheaty malts, and yeasty cilantro and spice in the finish. Meh...
A tad thin on the tongue and quickly departing flavors.
Crisp, pretty dry and refreshing, but lacks the depths of flavors and interest of higher rated examples of the style. Not my favorite Hefe...

Pours a cloudy straw color with a big pillowy pure white head that settles into a solid cap.
The aroma is of a tart wheat malt, with some lemony notes. The yeast provides a banana and bubble gum scent. Authentic hefeweizen aroma but has a tart/sour edge to it.
The tartness not as strong in the taste. There is a smooth wheat/pils malt mixture. Has a pils color but a wheat flavor. The yeast provides some ripe to over-ripe banana flavors. Some clove notes as well. There is a bit of a lemon edge to the beer. Not sure if it is actual lemon but has an acidic bite.
The feel is creamy and smooth. Moderate feel on the palate and sweet overall. There is a tartness in the finish that balances the beer. It is a touch sour which is odd for the style.
Overall a good hefe. Nice banana and clove flavor. Perhaps a touch to sour for my liking but it still works.
