wet hopped with centennial hops.
got an email blast from the brewery the other day that they had this on draft so swung by and grabbed a growler fill. enjoyed from one of those crazy hoptron uneven snifters.
a - brew poured a transparent light orange with a frothy IPA head that eventually dissolved leaving spotty lacing on the glass. a thin skin of tiny bubbles lay on the surface the entire time.
s - elation jumps from the glass to my olfactory senses. dank...no, SUPER DANK...thick lush sweaty hops. slightly overripe citric fruit.
t - as you can imagine, this one is a centennial hop bomb. uber fresh hops. thick and lush and dank. sticky. really sticky. great bitterness. really massive...and spot on for what any ipa fan looks for.
m - nice bitterness on the finish. really coats the mouth.
o - overall, what can say? i'm floored by this beer. this is what massive IPA was missing. i find field 5 to be the ipa long island can be proud of, but if this can happen on the regular, i'd say that my local IPA bases would be covered. really nice job GSB. REALLY nice job.
