Pint from draft at George’s Corner in St. George. Haven’t had a brown ale in a while and this beer makes me wonder why I went so long without this style. Big chocolate nose. Rich malt throughout. Finishes earthy and roasty. Really delicious.

On tap at the brewery. Dark brown color with cream colored head. Roasted malt aroma. Medium body with small fizzy carbonation. Roasted malt and nut flavor. Very nice!

Appearance: Arrives a clear mahogany with a one finger ecru head; solid retention and clumps of lacing
Smell: Toasted malt, nougat and a hint of milk chocolate
Taste: Toasted brown bread and nougat with milk chocolate tones developing; a blend of the flavors in the finish
M: Light to medium body with moderate carbonation
Overall: I don’t often order a brown ale but when I saw this had won a Silver at the GABF I gave it a try; an example of an often insipid style

Poured on tap at the brew pub into shaker pint glass.
A: Pours a nice mahogany brown hue with 1/2 inch frothy light tan head with good retention. Leaves thin lacing behind.
S: Toasted nutty malt, crème brûlée, brown sugar, and a hint of spicy grain.
T: Super smooth toasted nutty malt, cream, brown sugar, marshmallow, crème brûlée, and spicy grain.
M: Light body. Super smooth and creamy feel. Soft grain. Layers of malty sweetness. Amazing on the palate!
D: An excellent example of style. Superbly executed and amazingly sessionable brew! I can see why it won a silver at last year’s GABF.

Red brown. Lasting thin foamy top off white with lace. Aroma dark fruits and toast. Taste dark toast and dark dried fruits with zesty spicy bitterness. Nice.

Coffee blackish-brown with a short khaki foam blanket clinging in short ridges.
The full body's fulfillingly firm carbonation delivers tobacco and cacao nib to the palate in a way that's blowing my mind. After high quality pints of a pilsner and a pale ale before this, I felt I needed to know more, and so heard from the server about the brewing operation in town.
The finish is semi-dry with a a tangy herbal bitterness.
Stupid good.

Unbelievable beer. Unbelievable park. Had several beers here and this is the one that stood out. Highly recommend!

I tried this at the brewery. It poured a dark clear mahogany with white head that left a spotty lace. The scent had subtle maple and nut notes. The taste was nicely balanced and easy to drink with slight roast, nut and maple syrup flare. The mouthfeel was lighter in body with good carbonation. Overall it was a decent beer.

My rating is based on the fact that this is a 5.3% beer. For such a low abv, they've packed a lot of flavor and aroma in! Not much lacing as you go but the flavor status strong.
