Clear sparkling gold with a puffy white head settling to a persistent blanket leaving finely craggy walls of lace.
It's very well done and reminds me of the classics: toasty biscuit paired with a touch of herbal hops accented by a hint green grape skin in the aftertaste.
The fluffy medium body finishes cleanly semi-dry.
Named after what I gather to be an overpopulated hike I thankfully did not partake in during this trip to Zion, Engel Landen is like a slightly less sweet, slightly hoppier Miller Lite, and that is in no way a dig, but high praise. This sort of deft hand is not something I expect out of a brewpub just on the border of a national park.

At the brewpub, in a shaker, looks fine, nothing noteworthy. Nose has a lot of nice pale malt doughy goodness, with a promise of some grassy hops, Taste follows. Crisp and zippy mouthful. This is right down the middle of the road for a german style pils,...I enjoyed it, and would gladly have had another if I had had time.

I tried this at the brewery. It poured a clear golden with white head that left a spotty lace. The scent had subtle grain notes. The taste was nicely balanced and easy to drink with bread and grain presence. The mouthfeel was lighter in body with good carbonation. Overall it was a decent beer.
