This barrel aged, blackberry infused brett stout was created by aging our Switchback Stout for over 6 months in used bourbon barrels with blackberry puree added. Inoculated with a yeast to impart sour flavors, this brew is very dry and tart with hints of chocolate and bourbon covered blackberries.

a - looks a like stout. dark with a frothy head, though little lacing.
s - you can smell the brett and blackberries with a hint of chocolate.
t - tart from the blackberries, sour, and a nice stout finish in the end. flavors sort of go through a transition as you get the sour first then the tart then the bourbon stout finish.
m - pretty dry. will make you pucker. good carbonation but also velvety on the tongue. pretty light considering it a stout. Flavors stand out better as it warms especially the blackberries.
o - Well balanced. Funky, fruity, sour, tart, and stout. Definitely recommend to any sour wild ale fan.
