This years Old Stache definitely leaves a mark for those looking for a good strong ale. Although the brewery states the ABV at 12.5% in reality it is somewhere between 14-16%.
Appearance- Nice deep dark brown not quite black color.
Smell-Immediate whiskey barrel boozy smell, followed by caramel and chocolate aroma.
Taste-Up front very smooth chocolate and caramel tones coming through maybe with a touch of toffee. But finishes with the burning of the alcohol thats within it.
Overall-A good brew for this spring I think last years was a little better. Just be for warned they will cut you off at 3 servings per guest at the brewery but get you own growler if you want to see how far the rabbit hole goes.
