Pine Needles dripping with resin dominate the nose of this beer, and the first sip will assault your palate with hop flavor as intense as a Chuck Norris roundhouse kick to the face.
As the flavor progresses, the intense pine fades and a hoppy wave of tropical fruits jump on board to take a ride don the middle of your palate and into your belly, which will soon be glowing with warmth from the abv.
Malts: pale, esb, caraPils, C10
Hops: Chinook, Amarillo, Mosaic

Headwall is hands down the best double IPA I've had in Montana. Pale orange in color with great head retention and lacing. Aroma is amazing. Tropical hops burst from the glass with just a touch of that dank/earthy aroma. Taste starts as slightly piney/resinous and finish very citrus/tropical. To me it's a great blend of resinous/pine and tropical juicy. That's probably why I love this beer the most. It does a great job of blending resinous/dank/pine with tropical citrus flavors. Mouthfeel could maybe be a little better, it lacks the texture and body of a true world class DIPA but man is it close. Alcohol is very well hidden and is crazy easy to drink for a 10% beer. Truely impressed with this beer. I've had many a Treehouse, Trillium, Alchemist, TG, RR, Melvin etc and this beer could compete in my mind. A must drink if on tap at the brewery.
