Enjoyed on tap at the Lakeside Tamarack pub following a very chilly day of skiing at Blacktail. This brew hit the mark perfectly - served in a tulip glass, it had small amount of dark head that left fingerlings of lace around the glass. The nose was very nice - a bit of chocolate and expresso to awake the palate. This is a richly flavoured beer - a perfect winter warmer, not the sort of thing you would want to drink by the gallon.

Had this on tap 16 oz glass Christmas 2009 and 2012.
Appearance dark sticky lacing with about a 1" head.
Smell very distinct nutmeg cardamom and possible another spice not known to me. Great smell all around gets you in the mood for Christmas.
Taste slightly on the sweeter side with a good amount of malt but it balances the spice in the beer so that the spice isn't overwhelming. A little hop on the finish very drinkable. Very full bodied beer not much on the alcohol side of flavor either.
Mouth Feel was a little interesting but I think it was from the spice used in the beer left my mouth just slightly dry feeling.
Overall a great tasting winter warmer makes the season feel even better.
