Had on tap at the Dark Horse Tavern brew pub.

A: Nitrous with a semi large creamy head on the pitch black colored beer.

N: All nitrous at first, which is what pisses me off about using nitrous with beer. It completely overpowers all the other flavors and aromas of the beer, almost like they are trying to hide something. Behind that is a slight creamy chocolate malt and roasted caramel.

T: Again, just loaded with nitrous, why?!!! Pretty creamy thanks to the nitrous, behind that has lots of roast with a little coffee, some bitter earthy stout-like charred malts, chocolate, caramel, and slight sweet but mostly dry (weird, but i think thanks to the nitrous again).

M: Pretty light and nitrous creamy feel and carbonation.

F: way too clean on the finish with a dryness and some lingering creamy lactose. It basically just ends there. The beer has its moments, somewhat tasty, but the finish just wasn't there, and the nitrous just overpowers it too.

I had at d.b.a. in Williamsburg, Brooklyn out of a gravity dispense cask. The description read as follows: Black and intriguing as midnight, Capall Dorche is a velvety smooth and full bodied session stout with a rich, creamy mouthfeel. Mild, roasted flavors give way to a cocoa and milk chocolate finish. Balanced and drinkable, with judicious additions of nugget and east kent goldings hops. 30 IBUs. The name is from the Old Irish meaning 'Dark Horse'"

My own take was that it was very dry, like it says, with a mild bit of chocolate to it. Some sourness.
