Deep dark red with a long lasting off white head.... Yep... This one is all about the spices... cinnamon and nutmeg predominantly... the sweet spices are magnified by the residual maltiness.... crisp brown maltiness with warmth and subtle cocoa.
Not bad... just not my cup of beer.

On tap at the brewery. Reminiscent of a lot of the English holiday ales. Sweet malt dominates aroma and taste, holiday spices a minor afterthought, until the finish, where they blossom. Nice finish to a solid ale.
