On tap tonight at Bier Thirty in Bown for the NABA brewer's medal get together. Poured into a pint... much darker brown than most American Browns, but still good clarity with a long lasting light khaki head.
Nose is very balanced between some pretty righteous citrus/tropical hops and some toasty malt with hint of chocolate on the finish.
Flavor has all the same elements as the aroma, but with a mid-palate sweetness that tames the bit American hops and ties it into the toasty/light cocoa malt presence.
Drinkability is off the charts... Complex without being overbearing... Plenty of nuances that mesh pretty much perfectly.
