Uberliner takes the traditional German Berliner Weisse one step further. Sour, tart, fruity and effervescent but packing a serious punch. A little different but we like different.

Courtesy of Sharpski. I had the Black Currant variant. Good tartness, very nice fruit. interesting yeast spice. Would bang again.

Had this on tap a couple of times now and shared a nice 1 liter growler fill with COOP Matt and DerekA tonight.
Pours a slightly hazed golden.... white head rises up quickly but dies back just as fast leaving traces of spider web lacing.
Nose shows a decent lactic/lemony essence that smacks the pale malt and leaves behind a slight sugar cookie essence that is spiked with lemon zest.
Tart and mildly sour... not a teeth rot sour thankfully, very balanced between the lactic traditional Berliner qualities and bread wheaty notes.
Light body despite the bigger ABV... surprisingly refreshing and drinkable.
Interesting... I could get behind a bigger Berliner with this kind of approachability.
3.75/4.25/4/4/4
This brew is pretty righteous and surprisingly good given most big Berliners are terrible.
