Let’s go back in time and have a classic!! This ale is rich and malty with a nice hop presence. Brewed with dark crystal malts and East Kent Golding hops. Served on cask as Wolcott would want it.

From cask and into a pint at the Boise pub... Pours clear amber with a short lived light khaki head.. still shows decent lacing. Fermented out caramel and a little fruitiness... Grassy and a bit earthy.... Well made. A bit nutty with warmth.. really plush malt character for an American Old Ale, but happily not as fruity/vinous as some of the Continental varieties.. Slightly boozy, but not bad at all.. What little hops there are blend well with the malts.. Very tasty.. 10 Barrel does more than hops! I appreciate the attempt at a cask.
