man this beer is so good, one of my first few imperial pints at the new denver brewery, which is an awesome spot by the way, and should not at all be considered a bud house or whatever, regardless of who owns it, the beer and the vibe here are both cool. there, i said it. this is great session ipa, it has some real body and grain flavor to it, but is all dry hoppy and full of what i perceive to be citra and simcoe, but it is really juicy, bright, appropriately bitter, and just forever drinkable, and ever good when it warm up a little from pouring temperature. huge head on this one, and the glass holds it well. love the citrus hop aroma, hint of honeydew melon, and juicy pineapple, in that order. a lively and refreshing beer, suitable for any ipa fan, and not at all dumbed down or made uselessly light in the session context, its just a tad lower in alcohol. i could drink this one all summer if they decided to package it. loved this beer, and honestly at all the beers i had at 10 barrel denver, and 10 barrel portland before that, so do yourself a favor and do not be too quick to write them off for their corporate relationship, they are doing some great beers!

hazy yellow/lager look. short head poured from bottle in battle of beers collection. first sip makes you go "hmmm" second and third get better and better. fruitiness and sweetness subside gradually. good session beer; back yard barbeque etc. definitely a return to it beer if it comes back.

L: Golden yellow and slightly hazy
S: Ripe orange, vanilla, slight mango.
T: Similar to smell, light and easy, with a slight lingering bitterness. Very nice for a session IPA.
F: Plenty of carbonation. Tingles on the tongue.

Nice creamy foamy head, great lacing, crystal clear honey orange color.
Nose juicy fruity citrus, mild tropical notes, little pine resin, touch perfumey resin, earthy grassy, very little malt.
Taste touch malt, mostly clean hops, mild grassy, light citrus, rind, spicy notes, grassy and tropical notes, hint resin, fair to bigger bitterness. Finish dry and pretty bitter, lingering spicy and orange peel citrus hops, tingly notes. Touch of resin dank hop.
Mouth is med bod, decent carb.
Overall decent, fairly sessionable, decent hop profile, nothing crazy but not spectacular either.

Even after having many samples wreck my palate, this was a very flavorful session IPA. Also, great name. Well done 10 Barrel.
