Bobby Jackson brews some very tasty beer in Bend, and he did not hold back when he brewed this one in Boise. Using German malts and two different Rye malts, he created this dark sessionable ale. Sip some as the nights get longer and cooler.

On tap at Boise brewery. Dark, rich and nutty, clear but dark brown, small airy head with tons of lacing. Roast grain aroma is followed by some smoky flavors, all finished with some dry bitterness. Really well done porter.

Pours a thin head on a black body.
The aroma is roasted malt and vanilla.
The taste is spicy rye and malty sweet.
The texture is soft with low carbonation.
It's nice.

Draft tonight at the Boise pub... Pours the standard black with an okay enough dark tan head... Cocoa dusted crisp dark malt.. Hints of sweetness adds to drinkability... Pretty nice. The cask works really well with the slightly bigger body (for a 5% beer).
