Assertive hop flavor, supported by a medium malt body. A delicate addition of Oregon Apricot supports the stone fruit-like characteristics found in America aroma hops. Crystal malts provide subtle sweet hints of caramel

Bottled Feb 2018 into a pint glass. Looks rather dark for a red ale with excellent lacing. Smell is slight sweet and herbal hops with flavors pretty middle road no strong sweetness or hop bitterness just a very smooth drinkable beer.

Overall nothing exciting but not terrible either.

12 ounce bottle into tulip glass, bottled on 2/6/2018. Pours slightly hazy deep reddish orange/copper color with a 1-2 finger fairly dense and rocky off white head with great retention, that reduces to a nice cap that lingers. Nice spotty soapy lacing clings on the glass, with a fair amount of streaming carbonation. Aromas of big juicy apricots, fruit skin, grapefruit, orange, lemon, peach, pineapple, mango, melon, citrus peel/zest, light pepper/pine, caramel, brown sugar, toasted bread, herbal, and floral/grassy earthiness. Damn nice aromas with great balance and complexity of citrus/fruity hops, apricots, and dark/bready malt notes; with great strength. Taste of big juicy apricots, fruit skin, grapefruit, orange, lemon, peach, pineapple, mango, melon, citrus peel/zest, light pepper/pine, caramel, brown sugar, toasted bread, herbal, and floral/grassy earthiness. Light-moderate pine, citrus peel/zest, herbal, grassy, spicy bitterness on the finish. Lingering notes of apricots, fruit skin, grapefruit, orange, lemon, peach, pineapple, mango, melon, citrus peel/zest, light pepper/pine, caramel, brown sugar, toasted bread, and herbal/floral/grassy earthiness on the finish for a while. Great complexity, robustness, and balance of citrus/fruity hops, apricots, and dark/bready malt flavors; with a great malt/bitterness balance, and no cloying/astringent flavors after the finish. Lightly increasing dryness from lingering bitterness. Medium carbonation and medium-plus body; with a very smooth, creamy/bready, and fairly sticky mouthfeel that is great; touch of lingering resins. Zero warming alcohol for 5.6%. Overall this is an excellent American red ale. All around great complexity, robustness, and balance of citrus/fruity hops, apricots, and dark/bready malt flavors; very smooth and easy to drink with the mellowly bitter/drying finish. Feels like Centennial, Cascade, and Amarillo. Great balanced juicy hops/apricots; nice dark/bready malt backbone, but not overly sweet. A very enjoyable offering, and spot on style example.

Single bought at Liquor Shed. Bottled January 11th.

It pours a deep amber red, a finger of foam, good amount of lacing.

The smell is of lemon citrus, grain, caramel malt that is close to butterscotch.

Hoppy, yeah, citrus with grass. Malty, yeah, caramel with grain and close to butterscotch. Diacetyl hints. Especially in the finish.

Good enough mouthfeel.

Glad I only bought the 1 bottle.

22oz bottle served in pint glass. Best before 15May18. Beer is a deep red, and just slightly on the brown side of red, with a medium heavy brown head. Aroma is pretty subtle, with just a hint of grassy, piny hops. Flavor is balanced -- restrained, flavorful, but not complex. The label would have led me to believe this was a Red IPA but this truly is an American Red Ale. Very smooth texture on the tongue, with not too much carbonation underlying a relatively low gravity ale.

Copper amber pour with thin white head. Moderate lacing present. Aroma is a faint toast and citrus. Caramel biscuit taste with pine hops on the end, which is somewhat balanced. Moderate thick feel, which surprised me. Overall, I thought this was an unremarkable brew.

Poured from a 12 oz bottle into a Dogfish Head tulip

L: Clear amber/copper pour with 2 fingers of foamy white head. Great retention and lacing.

S: Slightly sweet toasted malts and pine/herbal hops.

T/F: Crackery grains and caramel malts. Definitely malt sweetness followed by bitter pine and herbal hops. Balances nicely... a little medicinal... citrus with almost a mild tartness near the finish. Earthy. Light bodied... well carbonated.

O: A solid red IPA. Good malt/hop balance with a nice mix of flavors. Easy drinking.

This beer pours a deep amber red with a solid head. The aroma is classic with resinous pine, sweet red malt, mint, brown bread, loam, and hay. The flavor is semi sweet with load of sweet pine, dry brush, sweet red malt, candied apple, sweet relish, butery rolls, mint, orange peel, and grapefruit peel. The mouthfeel is semi-full with solid foaming carbonation. Overall I really enjoy this beer - a classic hoppy red ale, with plenty of rich, resinous pine, sweet malt, and drying, bitter, woody flavors.

From a twelve ounce bottle, this brew is a reddish amber colored liquid with a huge, foamy off-white head. The aroma is lightly malty, with a little herbal hop background. Toast and caramel in the taste...tilted sweet. Toasty. The mouthfeel is full and almost thick. Flavorful finish.
