among the best beers i have ever had from ten barrel, on tap at the denver location, not sure if brewed here or not, but man, i have been here a few times always with some "oh this is bud owned and probably real corporate and lame" sentiment walking in, but have been impressed every time with the beers in here. this is a delicious and powerful red ipa, harvest timey, dank, sticky, weed-esque, west coasty, woodsy, piney, and downright fantastic. its pretty big, fuller bodied and lingering, really almost chewy, so much oil from these hops and while i usually dont love a lot of malt in my ipa types, i love the malt here, its toasty and a little bit sweet, but also earthy, velvet smooth, and is a nice supporter for all the hops on this. light nuttiness, caramel sweetness, and body everywhere. grapefruit, spruce, and heady sativa from the hops, lots of slickness, almost greasy textured, very northwestern to me, there is just great balance here in the enormity of it, a stick to your ribs sort of beer, and unapologetic in its boldness. even with a negative disposition to start about these guys, its hard to not love this beer. this is as good a red ipa type as i have had...
