we had a lot of lighter beers in here on our recent visit to the denver location, they have a fair few to choose from, but this was one of the better, more flavorful of them, certainly a little more robust than the kolsch they had working. golden in color, not too light looking, high shine, and a short but lasting white head from the tap. aroma is the classic german pils, nice and fresh, crackery simple pils malt and bittering noble hops, they surely havent taken any creative liberties with the style this time. i like the hops in here though, i can taste them more than just in the finish, and they add a lot to the mix, grassy and botanical, with the faintest dried lime zest complexion and moderate bitterness. minerals in the middle lead to a slightly doughy yeast thing in the finish, but it all happens pretty fast, and this ends up a refreshing drinker, a nice one to pair with some of the heavier foods in here like fried chicken sandwiches and bison burgers, which is exactly what we did. the beer in here has been very solid, despite the natural tendency to think negatively about them because of the bud ownership, it doesnt matter, the beer has been great!
