Bottle from Albertsons. Dark golden body, small fluffy head. Faint bready, grainy aroma. Hops come in at the taste, clean and crisp, leaves lingering bite. Subdued for an APA, but tasty with nice finish.

Bottled January 9th but I am going to review it anyway. Clear gold pour, excellent head of foam. Bready malt aroma with hints of citrus. Bread is prevalent in the taste, some fruity citrus, some oxidation. Mouthfeel is just fine. A single and not a sixer; thank goodness for that.

Bottle to pint glass.

Pours an attractive and hazy straw gold, light lacing. Hoppy aromatics with notes of citrus peel, orange, lemon? Crackery biscuit too, nice for a pale ale. Taste follows with a nice amount of orange, tangerine and citrus peel character, bitterness leaning towards medium, light to medium body.

Overall decent stuff with a nice orange/citrus character. Will revisit.

not at all retired, they are currently pouring this one at the new denver brewery, and its tasting real good. a pretty old school, classic sort of pale ale, not really dipping at all into the english realm, but a bit more of a malt balance than we are used to seeing in the pales that are trending in this country right now. biscuity would be a good way to describe the grain base, it has a little body and a little flavor beyond the pale, but still light, very fresh, and only supporting material for these hops, which is pretty quintessentially northwestern, with some pine notes here, high alpha, but carefully dosed so that this doesnt bitter up and move into the ipa world. really nicely dialed in from a recipe standpoint. they have enough interesting beers in here that i think its perfectly okay to have something basic and well made. the times may have moved beyond a beer like this, certainly the trends have, but there is an awful lot to be said for a fresh, well made, and highly drinkable pale ale, almost like the original craft beer or something, i really dug this one, as sort of "been there, done that" as it is, its worth a pint!

Amber colored with half an inch of head that stays around and sticks to the glass. Smells typical for a pale ale but that isn't a bad thing. Taste more hoppy than some pales. Not bad but with so many IPAs on the market this is nothing stand out.

Caramel honey color with a thin lace of head.

Slight bread crust, orange peel, herbs, biscuit.

Some poor caramel flavors going on with onion, orange peel, old dried bread crusts, and squash.

Feel is okay though. Crispy and slightly resiny.

Overall, an ipa I won't return to. :-(

This pale ale takes its name from a radio code used by firefighters to indicate that the fire is over and it's now time to have a beer. It has a breezy, mash tun aroma of light grains dry hopped with whole leaf Cascade. Shine a light through it and you'll note a bright, sunny yellow body with haze, draped lace, a thin head, and sluggish CO2. The taste has a bit of caramel but is otherwise sharp and crisp with bittering that really connects. Very drinkable.
