**Not sure why this was classified as a Pale Ale as it is labeled as a Kolsch and drinks like one**

Look: Slightly cloudy straw yellow with a frothy white head that billows up and settles to a lid, leaving good lacing behind
Aroma: Wet straw, floral hops, pilsner malt, some grassy notes, soda crackers, and a light honey-like sweetness in the background
Taste: Cut grass and flowers open it up and soon joined by straw and pilsner and cracker-like malt. Light, almost flower-like sweetness appears from time to time and closes as it started, with flowers and grassiness
Mouthfeel: Light but full flavored, medium-high carbonation, very clean throughout, and finishes clean and soft, but still crisp
Overall: This is tasty stuff. This is arguably my top go-to style for warm weather imbibing so when I saw these folks packaged one, I hoped it would be good and it is. Nice, refreshing, and the usual suspects; grass, straw, floral hops, and honey, are all present in an easy-drinking package. Yep, I’m into this one

12oz can from Boise Co-op. Normal pour, golden with small foamy head. Malts and hops equally represented in the aroma. A bit more malt in the taste, kind of dry.

new one from these guys, havent seen anyone own the summer ale moniker in awhile, not much info on the cans, but its light and crisp and good, simple but not boring which is hard to do, and really clean and lively on the ferment, which is exactly what i want in a summer beer and probably the best feature here. this is one of those beers where a six pack just feels like the wrong package decision, like they should have made an eight pack, six isnt enough. sunny and blonde on the pour with a fizzy inch of white head rising and settling quickly. it smells and tastes well balanced, subtly but uniquely dry hopped, wonderfully fresh, and without much sweetness from the grain despite it having a pretty persistent cereal complexion from start to finish. its so crisp its almost lager-esque, but there is no yeast taste here really at all. i get mellow suggestions of apricot, green grape, and honey too, but everything is very mild. we picked this up along with a bunch of other options for the weekend and this was the first of them that ran out, meaning it was a crowd favorite in the warm weather. i love when these have some character and this certainly does, i will likely be buying this one again when the pool opens, great carbonation and refreshment value but also a little more beery than a lot of them are, real nicely done.

Limited Simms release, percent of proceeds go to non profits.
Very hoppy for a summer ale, but otherwise ok. I Love a good hoppy bitter beer, but not in the summer, somehow people believe more IBUs is always better, when in fact sometimes its unessicary.
Overall an average to above average beer, thats tastes more like a weak IPA, than a summer treat.
