Juicy Drama is our zesty, fruit forward take on Double IPA. Massive amounts of Bravo and Simcoe hops added to the whirlpool result in a dramatic burst of citrus and pine hops flavor, while keeping a mild and balanced bitterness. The addition of Yuzu zest to the fermenter creates an explosion of aroma that will keep you coming back for more of this surprisingly easy drinking powerhouse IIPA. 30 IBUs

Clear amber brew with abundant foam in the goblet. This is not so sweet as some of these alcohol bombs, but it's surprisingly bitter. AB-Inbev says it's an Imperial IPA "with natural flavors." Well, it's actually some cheap brewed alcohol with orange peel flavoring. It's quite strongly orange or even tangerine in the nose and very strongly flavored. No taste of malt or hops but just that hot alcohol and the bitterness. It's a different chemistry than the sweet heat style. From the giant can purchased at the Shell station store.

Look: Burnt orange with a sudsy off-white head that settles to a lid, leaving decent lacing behind
Aroma: Tangerines, orange popsicle, some kiwi, pink grapefruit, wafts of lemons, and orange juice
Taste: Tangerines and orange popsicle ramp up quickly on the initial sip and quickly develop depth as orange juice follows close behind. Lemons, kiwi, and grapefruit follow, along with some ethanol through to the close
Mouthfeel: Full, pretty clean, lightly slick, medium-high carbonation, and some felt dryness on the close
Overall: I have mixed feelings about this one. It’s very fruity and juicy, which is good, but seems palate taxing the more I work through it. It’s also very boozy, although hides it decently well but it comes across as highly attenuated and slick with the 9.6% showing up in the “feel” department. Glad I tried it but probably would be a taster-and-done type beer for me. YMMV

Pours an amber orange in color with a small head and a fair amount of carbonation. Aroma is orange and malt. Taste is orange, lemon and grapefruit with some sweetness. This is definitely a juicy IIPA. You don't really notice the alcohol content so this could be dangerous. 30 IBUs Rated3-2-2024

The beer is a dark golden colored brew with an unusually sweet apple cider flavor with some tartness and carbonation throwed in. There is some apricot also added but the taste is really odd. I would say skip this one and I could not tell if any hops were used in this brew.

Great fruity forward, not bitter, slightly acidic, flavor. Nice clear color of Amber. Smells of Orange, Grapefruit & lemon. High alcohol content.

16oz can. Poured out a slightly hazy, golden orange color with a small, off-white head of foam. It left sudsy lacing. It smelled of orange, grapefruit, toffee and caramel. Sweet tropical fruit taste with toasted caramel and a piney bitterness.

12oz can from Brewers Haven. Golden pour, initial thick foamy head settles out. Big fruity aroma, orange juice, mango. Taste is big fruity flavors, but tasting more like candy flavoring than actual fruit, sweet, light bitterness. Abrupt finish leaves little behind

another imperial ipa in the tall cans with more fruitiness than bite, juice focused, obviously trying to capture some of that impressive new belgium market share. the abv on this one is high enough to be distracting, like its as boozy as it is flavorful, which i dont love, but the addition of yuzu to this makes it seem more authentic to me than the guys trying to claim their flavors all come from hops, come on, at least these guys are owning it. a bit of malt color to this, more copper to orange than anticipated, but it doesnt smell or taste like a ton of grain. its got nice clarity and holds a short but stocky white head, looks well refined in the glass. it smells and tastes about the same, a little copper metallic thing through much of it, even a little oxidation from what i assumed to be a fresh can, biscuit malt, obvious citrus, bitter orange, piney hops, some suggestions of pineapple and mango too, on the palate awhile but not objectively sweet and with fine balance, less hoppy by a considerable margin than i expected it to be for a huge ipa, alcohol warmth running the length of it making it feel just a tad cheap, but the fruitiness is pleasant, the yuzu is natural enough and not overdone, and the restrained hop intensity will make this more accessible than many. not their best effort, but solid, modern, real bubbly, and strong. fully trend chasing, but not bad.

12oz can pours a darker golden color with moderate clarity and a creamy cap of white-ish foam. Very juicy and bright nose, sweet candied fruits and malt sweetness, tropical fruit and flowers, wild honey, Juicy Fruit gum and Jelly Belly’s. Medium bodied, hides the alcohol well. Not really candy-like per se, just very fruity and juicy.
