Surprisingly mellow IPA for a 7% ABV with the name "double tough". The color is a beautiful orange similar to a weak tea. The head is white, lacy, and almost nonexistent (more on that later). The smell is very subtle for an American IPA, with great citrus notes. Likewise the flavor is more subtle than I would have hoped. Malty, sweet, with nice (but too subtle) hops notes and just a hair more bitterness than I would prefer for balance. The carbonation is almost nonexistent; drinking from a keg in a bar, so maybe a problem with their CO2 system? All in all, it's a fine beer and pretty damned drinkable.
