On tap. Pours dark black with a thin, tan head that leaves a small ring of lacing at the top of the glass. Nose of bourbon barrel and roasted coffee. Taste is roasted malt, roasted coffee, cocoa, and bourbon barrel. Full body and low carbonation with a creamy finish and a whisper of alcohol on the end.
The coffee gives it a richness that goes hand in hand with the bourbon barrel. The bourbon barrel makes it feel bigger than 8.3 ABV. This is the best beer that Marshall has ever produced.
